Harris County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and unaffiliated with government, HCSO, a jail, or a corrections department. Nature of the Service

This is an independent reference website. It does not store official Harris County jail, court, or booking records, and it cannot verify custody, release a person, post bond, or submit government documents.

The service directs visitors to resources such as HCSO, JIMS, courts, corrections agencies, and third-party research tools. A link to a resource does not make its information part of this site or make this site its agent.

Permitted Site Use

  • Use the service in violation of a law or regulation.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Use material from the service to make employment, housing, lending, insurance, or other prohibited screening decisions.
  • Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data without authorization.
  • Run bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools without permission.
  • Interfere with access to the service for another visitor.

Fair Credit Reporting Act Limits

Harris County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. • A hiring, firing, or other employment decision.
  • A tenant or housing-screening decision.
  • A creditworthiness decision or insurance-rate determination.
  • A licensing, permit, or government-program eligibility decision.
  • Any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

We do not control, endorse, or guarantee their content, availability, security, or data practices. Review the terms and privacy notices of each destination.

  • The accuracy, completeness, or current status of information.
  • Uninterrupted access to the website.
  • Freedom from errors, bugs, or security defects.
  • The completeness of results provided by a partner tool.

Custody and public-record information can change quickly. Nothing on this site is an official statement by HCSO, a jail, a court, or another government office.

Ownership of Site Materials

Updates to These Terms

We may change these terms at any time. Revised terms take effect when they are posted on this page.

Suspension of Access

We may limit, suspend, or end access to the service at any time, with or without notice, including when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated.

Texas Law and Record Rules

These terms are governed by Texas law, and disputes must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Texas. Government-record access is separately governed by the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552. Section 552.021 provides access subject to exceptions; Section 552.108 addresses law-enforcement exceptions, while Section 552.108(c) preserves basic arrested-person, arrest, and crime information subject to other confidentiality rules. The Texas Attorney General's Public Information Act overview gives current public guidance. Texas rules affecting publication of criminal-record information are set out in Business & Commerce Code Chapter 109. Those laws do not make this private reference service a record custodian.

Severability

If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as necessary.
